[Jesus said,] “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witness in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  -Acts 1:8

In response to Jesus words, we have sought to captured this in the third part of our vision “Serving the World.”  At King of Glory we understand “the world” to mean those people as near to us as our next door neighbors and as far away as those living across the globe.  Over the years we have sought to support mission projects and opportunities from the local to international level.  Being engaged in a life of mission and witness is an essential part of what it means to be a follower of Jesus.  We are always on the lookout for new ways to give glory to our Father who is in heaven as we engage in being “the hands and feet of Jesus” in our community and beyond.  Check out some of the ways King of Glory is on mission in the world.

A home for Undwed Mothers in Carpentersville is our June Mission Project.  Motivated by God’s grace, Redeeming Life Outreach Ministries seeks to reach out with the love of Christ to support single expectant and postpartum mothers while providing a safe and stable home for mom and baby. (Lutheran Church Charities, Immanuel Lutheran East Dundee, LCEF and the Northern Illinois District of the LCMS are partnering in this maternity home ministry.)  The home will provide many opportunities to learn about Jesus and serve Him.
